We’re so excited to share San Miguel de Allende with you. It’s a colorful, historic town we love, and while it takes a little planning to get there, we promise it’s worth it! Please note that you do need a valid U.S. passport to get to San miguel.

Airports

Leon/Guanajuato International Airport (BJX)

This airport is about 90 minutes from San Miguel.

Querétaro Intercontinental Airport (QRO)

This airport is about 75 minutes from San Miguel.

Mexico City Airport (MEX)

This airport is about 4 hours from San Miguel but varies based on traffic.

If you decide to visit Mexico City, transportation can be arranged between the two cities. consider booking your return flights from QRO or BJX.

San Miguel de Allende is about a 1–1.5 hour drive from the nearest airports. We’ll be sharing a recommended local transportation company for airport transfers between León (BJX) or Querétaro (QRO) and San Miguel de Allende, with booking details available closer to the wedding date.

In the meantime, most hotels are also happy to assist with arranging airport transportation if you prefer to coordinate directly with your hotel.
